Diesel rarely stays at ISO standard when left standing for more than 12 months in a storage tank. If dispensed after that, solid particle contaminants from a variety of sources can cause engine and fuel system wear and prematurely block filters and fuel injectors – which can mean downtime or even machinery replacement. That’s expensive, so don’t risk it.
